We are called to glorify God, make disciples of Christ, serve our community with love, and proclaim the hope of the Gospel to the world.
We are a vibrant community of believers committed to living out the Gospel in every area of life. Whether you are looking for a spiritual home, exploring our rich Romanian heritage, or seeking a place to grow in your faith, we invite you to find your place in our church family.
Our mission is to be a faithful witness in the world, motivated by a deep love for Christ and a commitment to His Word.
We emphasize the knowledge and application of Scripture in all areas of life, believing it produces true transformation.
Our services blend traditional Baptist roots with contemporary worship elements during our afternoon gatherings.
We believe the church is a family of families, encouraging every member to embrace their God-given role within home and community.
We gather throughout the week for worship, teaching, and prayer. Everyone is welcome to join us at any of our services.

The story of FRBC Windsor is a testament to God's faithfulness within the Windsor community for over 100 years.
Our community began in early 1923 with the arrival of Teodor Lustrea, later joined by brothers Dumitru and Teodor Balint. By 1925, with help from the First Romanian Baptist Church in Detroit, the "Mission from Canada" was officially formed.
Under Pastor Teofil D. Talpeș, the church flourished. We launched a Romanian-language radio program on a local station, sharing the Gospel every Sunday morning.
In December 1976, after much prayer and hard work, we held our first service in our current building at 1696 Cadillac Street.
Our history is rich with music and youth involvement — from mandolin orchestras and brass bands to mission trips supporting Romanian churches across Ontario.
Our congregation continues to be a home for those seeking a deep, scriptural connection to God, combining our traditional heritage with a forward-looking vision.
Our theology is rooted in the timeless truths of the Bible and the historical Christian faith.
We believe the Bible is the fully inspired Word of God, without error, and is the ultimate authority for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness.
Prayer is central to our church life. We believe in its great power and strive to support every member and ministry through fervent intercession.
Following Christ's command, we are dedicated to making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe the responsibility of ministry belongs to all members. We encourage everyone to exercise their spiritual gifts and serve God to their fullest capacity.
We identify with Puritan thought and the early Church Fathers, believing that the gifts of the Spirit remain active and vital for the Church today.
We envision a church that acts as a "general rehearsal for heaven," where every gathering is an opportunity to prepare our hearts for the return of our Lord. Our goal is to be a community motivated not by worldly success, but by deep faithfulness to the work God has entrusted to each of us.
"And let them be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately." — Luke 12:36
At the First Romanian Baptist Church of Windsor, our identity is shaped by our commitment to scriptural truth, the strength of the family unit, and a legacy of faithful service. We strive to be a community where every member is equipped to serve God to their fullest capacity.
The Bible is the inspired, error-free Word of God. True change is produced by the Word preached in the power of the Holy Spirit.
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God…that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." — 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Prayer is the engine of our church life. Every ministry should be prepared in prayer; every member supported by intercession.
"The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." — James 5:16
We bring glory to God by fulfilling the Great Commandment and the Great Commission, seeking to be a good witness to the world.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…" — Matthew 28:19-20
Responsibility for the Lord's work belongs to all members. We encourage everyone to exercise their spiritual gifts to the maximum capacity God has given them.
"Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful." — 1 Corinthians 4:2
A church cannot be more than the families that compose it. We encourage a home life where each person assumes their God-given role.
"But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." — Joshua 24:15
Rooted in Puritan thought and the early Church Fathers, we believe spiritual gifts were not withdrawn after the closing of the biblical Canon. The Word of God should be proclaimed by all men recognized by the community as having the gift to do so.

For over 100 years, our community has seen many seasons of growth and change, but our mission has remained constant. We honor our traditional Baptist worship while embracing contemporary elements, ensuring that our praise is always a "work for the King."
We would love to welcome you to one of our services or answer any questions you may have.
